Common Questions, Straight Answers

If you’re not sure what’s going on with your roof or what to do next,
these are the most common questions homeowners ask.

Getting Started

What are the signs something might be wrong with my roof?

Most issues aren’t obvious from the ground.

You might notice things like water spots on the ceiling, missing or lifted shingles, or debris after a storm—but a lot of problems start where you can’t see them.

That’s why we walk the roof and show you exactly what’s going on, so you’re not guessing based on symptoms alone.

We come out, take a close look at your roof, and document what we find with photos and video.

Then we walk you through everything—what we’re seeing, what it means, and what your options are—so you can actually understand what’s going on.

Most walkthroughs take about 30–45 minutes depending on the size of the home.

Yes—we do ask that you’re home.

Part of the process is walking you through what we find, and in many cases we’ll also need access to the attic, especially if there’s a leak.

It also helps from a liability standpoint so everything is clear while we’re on-site.

Our Process

What’s the difference between a roof inspection and your walkthrough?

A typical inspection is just someone checking things and giving you a result.

Our Guided Roof Walkthrough is different—we show you exactly what we’re seeing with photos and video, explain what it means, and walk you through your options.

So instead of just being told what’s wrong, you actually understand it.

After we go through everything with you, we’ll put together a clear estimate based on what we found.

You’ll typically have that within 24 hours.

From there, it’s just a matter of deciding what makes sense for you—there’s no pressure to move forward.

Repairs & Decisions

Is it worth repairing an older roof?

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t—that’s what we help you figure out.

If a repair makes sense, we’ll show you why. If it’s something that’s likely to keep causing problems, we’ll walk you through that too.

Storm Damage & Insurance

What should I do after a storm?

The first step is to document anything you can safely see from the ground.

Then it’s a good idea to have a reputable roofing company take a closer look before making any decisions.

We always recommend avoiding door knockers and working with someone you trust. We go deeper into that here → Read the Blog

Yes—we’ve worked through hundreds of claims and understand how the process works.

We’ll help you understand what’s being covered, what’s not, and what your options are.

Yes—we offer a contractor assistance program where we can be there during the adjuster meeting.

Our role is to help make sure everything is properly documented and to bridge communication so nothing gets missed.

It doesn’t always stop there.

We have a trusted partner who can walk you through the appraisal process if it makes sense to challenge the decision.

We’ll help you understand your options so you can decide how you want to move forward.

Yes—that’s a big part of what we do.

We’ve worked through a large number of claims, so we’re very familiar with how the paperwork reads and what it actually means in real terms.

We’ll walk you through it so you’re not trying to figure it out on your own.

Pricing & Estimates

How much does a roof repair or replacement cost?

It really depends on what’s going on with your roof.

Things like the size, materials, and the extent of the issue all play a role. That’s why we don’t throw out numbers without seeing it first.

We’ll walk the roof with you, show you what we find, and then give you a clear breakdown so you know exactly what you’re looking at.

In most cases, we’ll have enough information to give you a clear direction during the walkthrough.

Then we’ll set up a time to review our detailed estimate—usually within 24 hours—over a quick phone call or virtual meeting, so you have everything you need to make a decision.

Not without your approval.

If we uncover something unexpected, we’ll stop, document it, and walk you through what’s going on before doing anything further.

Nothing gets added without you understanding it and signing off on it.

Payments & Financing

Do you require a deposit, and when is payment due?

Yes—we require a 50% deposit at the time of signing to get the project scheduled.

The remaining balance is due upon completion once the work is finished and you’re satisfied with everything.

We accept cash, check, ACH, and credit card.

ACH is similar to paying by check, just done electronically—there’s no fee for that option.

Credit cards are accepted as well, with a 3% processing fee.

We also offer financing if that’s something you’d prefer.

Yes—we do.

We offer financing options to make things more manageable, and you can review available plans before making any decisions.

You can learn more about how that works here → How Financing Works

By Texas law, you have 3 days to rescind your contract.

If you decide to cancel within that period, we’ll refund your deposit.

Everything is clearly outlined in the agreement so there are no surprises.

Project Execution

How long does a roof repair or replacement take?

Repairs can vary depending on the scope, but most are completed fairly quickly.

For a standard residential roof replacement, it’s typically done in 1–2 days.

We’ll also keep an eye on the weather and adjust scheduling if needed to make sure everything is done properly.

We take steps to protect the areas around your home before work begins. That includes covering things like AC units, pools, and other immovable items, and laying out tarps where materials are removed.

We do ask that anything fragile—like plants or outdoor furniture—is moved ahead of time.

At the end of the job, we go through cleanup and make sure everything is left the way it should be.

Yes—most of our roofing systems come with warranty coverage, and some repairs include coverage as well depending on the scope of work.

We’ll explain exactly what applies to your specific project so you know what’s covered and what to expect.
